Comment on published assets in Revit and Rhino

Last updated: April 28, 2026

Comments placed on streamed or published assets are shared bidirectionally between Motif and your Revit or Rhino plugin. This means feedback added in Motif appears in Revit/Rhino, and vice versa — keeping your team in sync without switching tools.

How it works

When you place a comment on a 3D model or published sheet in Motif, it will appear at the same location in the Revit or Rhino plugin while the plugin is active. Comments added from the plugin appear in Motif in the same way.

💡 Comments are transient in Revit — they are not saved to the Revit file and are not synced to central. They appear as Generic Models (3D) and Generic Annotations (2D) in Revit. To hide them in Revit, turn off those categories in your visibility settings, or uncheck Show comments in the Motif plugin panel.

View comments in the plugin

  1. In the Motif plugin panel (Revit or Rhino), click the Comments tab.

  2. If you have published multiple assets, toggle to the asset whose comments you want to view.

  3. Use the Show/Hide toggle to control comment visibility on the canvas.

  4. Use the filter to show only resolved or unresolved comments.
