Install the Motif Plugin (Revit & Rhino)

The Motif plugin lets you stream or publish your design models directly from Revit or Rhino into a Motif board.

Before you start: You'll need a Motif account

Steps

1. Download the latest Motif Plugins Installer from motif.io/plugins-installer.

   (You can also find the download link in the Help text of the Publish | Receive tab inside Motif, or via the overflow menu in the top-right corner of your board.)

2. Locate the downloaded file MotifPluginsSetup and double-click it to run the installer.

3. The installer automatically detects your installed versions of Revit and Rhino. Click Next to proceed.

   

4. Once installed, open (or relaunch) Revit or Rhino.

5. Open the Motif plugin panel in your design application and sign in with your Motif account.

   • In Revit, navigate to the Motif tab in the top ribbon, then click Show Motif to open the plugin panel.

   • In Rhino, activate the Motif plugin using the command “MotifPlugin”.

💡 If you don't see the Motif Plugin in your Revit or Rhino, check that the install completed without errors and try restarting again.

💡When a plugin update is available, you'll see an orange dot in the Motif plugin menu. Keep your plugin updated to access the latest features.
